You will be working on an extremely complicated existing system - MPGS - Payment Gateway with Java & Kotlin but there is o enough documentation, no one who knows the system deeply to support you; they are so busy as well, all you need to do is to dive deep into the code and figure out the flows. You will receive requirements from BA department and they are not familiar with the system and techniques as well. They are on a different team, not your team and not care about your problem when implementation. They see developers & testes such as workers (client also give you such a worker title), force you to do as much work as possible with officially 8 hours/day. They don't care how to assign tasks properly for a team, they jus care how to have enough task to count enough time for the client, and the tasks will come to you suddenly in the sprint, so you understand how bad management is. They - PMs will ask the team leader & deputy to estimate the tasks and you will do those tasks. The tasks are usually under estimation because lack of information - they don't understand the existing system clearly when estimating. PM, TL & Deputy also don't care much about your work, they don't focus on people development, connections & sharing. Some special young TLs & deputies such as Dung, Uyen(Sylvia) & Huy often raises their voices loudly with colleagues and criticizes others behind the scene. But who care? You will experience loneliness, worries, fear with full unfinished tasks, with the deadline & complain ahead; there is rarely anyone who asks or cares about your hard work & support. In general, everyone is on their own tasks and usually works overtime without compensation. This place is full of political & toxic stories, people in leadership team are ready to force you to do things that you don't want to do and kick you out the team if they feel they don't like you - at least every 3 month for restructure. There are a lot of demonstrations & meetings in the sprint & you have to spend more time to prepare everything perfectly for the demo in order to have approvals from foreign colleagues or client to continue the tasks without counting time on your daily tasks.
